The tropical island of Langkawi in Malaysia is to be the stunning setting for the Langkawi International Boat Exhibition - LIBEX – this coming November. The new boat show and trade exhibition event is being organised by SailAsia Sdn Bhd of Malaysia in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia’s drive to promote and develop the marine leisure sector in the country.

Timed to coincide with the spectacular Finale of the Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally and the prestigious Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta, LIBEX will be the focal point for all things marine as exhibitors and visitors come together to trade. The four-day event will run from 24-27 November and will be set against the picturesque backdrop of the Mediterranean-style Telaga Harbour Park, Langkawi.

Over 50 cruising yachts are expected to complete the Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally, which begins in Darwin, Australia, in July. The large majority of these yachts, ranging from 35ft to 60ft in length, will be moored in and around Telaga Harbour for the duration of the Show.

For exhibitors, LIBEX will offer a range of facilities including on-water berths, outdoor display areas, air-conditioned exhibitor pavilions, as well demo opportunities and seminar slots, and other activities associated with an international boating event of this nature.

Recognising the attraction of Malaysia as a leisure destination, there will also be a segment for property and leisure service providers to promote the wide range of opportunities available.

Visitors can look forward to seeing a range of the latest motorboats and yachts of all classes and sizes from the world's finest designers and builders. LIBEX will also be a showcase of the latest marine technology, equipment, accessories and services. There will also be associated events and activities ongoing throughout the Show, including boating workshops, on-water demonstrations and other promotions.
